Joy Luck Club

Yes they are definetly connected in my point of view, even though they are different stories from different people and different morals the all come together eventually. In this stories there is a lot of tragedy and suffering. The parents or more specifically the mothers or the women in this stories, have left behind a rich and modest culture that was fit to fend for themselves. They have left behind friends and family in the hope of achieving this American dream that everyone whispers and talks about. There is also a lot of tragedy and a sense of lose in the stories of these women. They all have this feeling of respect and want to sort of keep a piece of where they come from which would be china in this case and they want to pass this practices or things that they have done with their parents in the past down to their children. Even though the women go through really tough and stressful things in their lives, I noticed that they were all strong and most of then really did not panic, they took it all in and did not give up they took whatever curve ball life threw at them and they hit it out of the park. There courage to take everything head on was great and that is exactly what they needed to succeed in the united states.
